Seismic Ventures' current computing capacity consists of over 320 Nodes of SUN and Intel CPUs. These CPUs are distributed through a series of networked hubs and switches allowing a single job to utilize all CPUs for demanding applications such as Prestack 3D Migration. We currently have Five sets of clusters that are capable of achieving 1200 billion floating-point operations per second (1.2 Teraflops).

Our latest cluster acquisition includes an APPRO Cluster containing 128 CPUs each running 3.2 Gigahertz Intel 64 Bit Processors. This new cluster also contains a Global File system utilizing the new open source I-SCSI protocol (SCSI over Internet) from TERRASCALE Technologies Inc. This latest technological integration into our facility will allow us to increase our production capacity as well as research new techniques associated with 64 bit computing and implementation of massive parallel computing on conventional processes.
